How Does a Thermostat Know the Temperature? #embeddedsystems #electronics #microcontrollers

Many thermostats hide a thermistor: a bead whose resistance falls as it warms. In a divider it turns heat into volts for the ADC. The curve isn’t straight, so firmware uses the Beta equation or a table.

Why pick a fixed resistor equal to the thermistor’s room-temperature value? Tell me in the comments.

Well im 59 years old I have a day job managing woodlots all over northern Michigan. I love working with landowners to cater with their goals and objectives on there property. I work my online business after my day job and enjoy surfing and corresponding with fellow marketers. As always cant wait for summer to start to ride my Harley and do some fishing.
