Great NAS, hope it’s a new CPU chip. This NAS works good. Took all 8 drives out of my old DS1813+ and installed them into the DS2415+. Installed drive 1 from the old NAS to drive 1 in the DS2415+, same with the other 7 drives. Powered up the unit and it found that I had done that and ask it I wanted to migrate from the DS1813+ to the DS2415+. I clicked on that option and then NEXT. Followed the menu and in just a few minutes everything was up and running. I did save the old configuration from the DS1813+ to a desktop drive. I…

DS2415+ with 16GBs of RAM – how to upgrade I have been using an earlier version of Synology NAS, the DS509+, for more than 7 years without any problems. Typical uptime, 1 year at a time. I had to reboot it periodically only because DSM upgrades required me to. I just loved the quality and performance, the interface.
