Slow and steady wins the race. Don’t try to rush set up. I have to say first and foremost, the first few minutes of trying to pair this, I was so aggravated with this thing. Nothing was working. So I stopped, took a breath, and started ALL OVER. And then it worked. 🙂 This is a pretty quick set up, I mean it doesn’t take hours, but it does take some time. I think it took me about 15 mins total, after I started over. 🙂

Boosted signal strength at the cost of speed. I purchased this hoping to improve my wireless connection upstairs where my desktop is located. My AT&T modem/router is located on the first floor and we are supposed to get either 25 or 30 Mbps down, I forgot the exact number. Upstairs, my desktop would usually hover around 2-3 bars and both my cellphone and kindle tablet would hover around 4 bars, none were ever full signal if upstairs. Finally, Frustration-Free Wifi Reception. I ordered this Wifi extender because I needed an upgrade from a tiny Netgear model that was only capable of 300 mbps. That may be fine for inside the home, but I needed something that could extend about 125 feet and still be relatively fast. I believe I got that from this TP-Link Extender.
