The new Suzuki GSX-10R 2027 aims to bridge the gap between the GSX-S1000 naked bike and the GSX-R1000 supersport.
At its heart is Suzuki’s 999 cc inline-four producing 152 hp and 106 Nm, combined with a bidirectional quickshifter, adjustable engine braking and three throttle response modes. Suzuki has also added a comprehensive electronics package including traction control, lift control, cornering ABS, launch control and a new slide control system.
The chassis has been developed with sportier riding in mind, with an aluminium twin-spar frame, a new swingarm and linkage, fully adjustable suspension, an electronically controlled steering damper and a claimed maximum lean angle of 53 degrees. The GSX-10R also gets winglets, a full fairing and a more aggressive riding position inspired by the GSX-R1000, while still offering a softer seat, cruise control and an 810 mm seat height for everyday use.
Ready to ride, Suzuki quotes 214 kg and a fuel tank of almost 18 litres. There is also a colour TFT display, smartphone connectivity, navigation functions and USB charging.
The big idea behind the GSX-10R is simple: supersport looks and performance without making the bike too extreme for normal road riding. Could this be the ideal middle ground between a naked bike and a full-on superbike?
